[Link] | I've grown apart from a lot of people over the course of my life. Sometimes I'll remember with a jolt, someone who I haven't thought of in years. Thousands of names and vivid memories. Human tapestry.
I think that I will now make this journal an archive. It is a self-written and subjective account of the previous four years of my life. I've thought on it for a long time now. There will be no further updates, at least not here.
My contact information remains the same. I'm simply moving shop. After four years I am nearly a completely different person than I was when I began. That is a good thing. Growth is change too. You've all changed as well. Look back and see how I communicated nearly exclusively with smileys! Haha!
I remember what a smile looks like on most everybody who will read this, even if it was only a photo.
The last four years have been wonderful. Many of you helped to make them that way.
Here's to many more!

Phone Bill Follies Well, thank you SBC, now I can again afford to go do things like eat.
Previous phone bill: $140.00 per month
Including their All-Distance Plan, and DSL Pro.
Well, Since I'm not spending hours of my life every day calling California, I was definately not saving money with the All-Distance plan, and all of it's mandatory add-ons, like callNotes, three-way calling, and literally eleven other crappy add-ons nobody needs.
Apparently DSL Pro plan harkens back to a time, several years back, when DSL was much more expensive in this area. Noone bothered to inform us that we were paying twice as much as we should have for outdated service.
Current Phone Bill: $60.00 per month
Including basic phone+ Caller ID, "Elite" internet service.
According to them, this internet service is faster, and less than half the price I was paying every month. Oi.

A night on tha town... That was a ton of fun.
First Bobbi made us food. Bobbi's cooking is excellent, btw. I had cheesey veggies and tomato garlic bread and they had steaks. :3
After that we went to ALL the Targets in the area, searching for a certain present for a certain someone. :3 We JUST missed one too!
Bobbi taught me how to shop in the clearance section at Target, and man, I had no idea how cheap you can get shtuffs, so I got a buncha clothes with her and Gimp, which was really neat. I also got some new plates and bowls for us and some star Wars action figures... because I'm a dork. :3
Oh, hey, I also got the Sonic mega collection for PS2! I've never gotten to play the games before, having never had a sega system. So now I get to see what all the fuss is about. :3
I had a really great time being all raunchy and fun with mah girlfriends. I can't wait till next week.

Playing with poetry...
The wicked, the willing, take wing on a feeling, as sure as the silence that bore our misgivings. They shiver through skies, where the stars are all eyes. Sliding snakes on the wind That the sun only hides. Thus, the light is a veil, obscuring their trail. Syrup slow and sublime as they wing toward hell. And all that may become, when this world is undone will be seen and rejoiced by the wicked above.
+++++ It just sorta spills out. The internet is not the place for poetry or paragraphs, but oh well. I enjoy it.
Going out with Bobbi and Gimp again tonight for dinner and errand running. I like girls-night-out no matter what. :)

Spirit Coil setting:
Beyond the deserts, which have claimed the lives of countless explorers, beyond mountains so high that the gods themselves slumber at their peaks, the Coacoi basin exists as a land largely untouched by the passage of time. Hidden away from the rest of the world, the great beasts and peoples of this world's infancy yet roam the dense jungles, engaged in an endless struggle to survive in an environment more hostile than perhaps anywhere else yet known. The Coacoi basin is a primal realm, where the very earth still resonates with the roiling energies that gave birth to the world. It is a land of savage vitality, teeming with life both beautiful and dangerous. Here amidst it all, the people of the Coacoi have lived for generations uncounted, recalling in their songs and dances the days when the gods came down from their lofty perches in the sky to lift them up from the many other beasts of their world. Eminent among these races is the lizardfolk, or 'Semua' in their native tongue. According to legend, it is they whom the gods first visited, passing the flame of knowledge, a shard of the sun itself, unto their people, gifting them with awareness in order to bring the light of that knowledge to the other races of the jungle. It is they who built the cities of stone and fire, havens in a wild land. They read the skies as the gods taught them, constructing great temples to the Sun and Night and paying great tribute to both. The Sun being the growing light in their minds, the urge to create and rise up, whilst the Night invokes their savage past, all too near to forget. Over the years a number of other folk have flocked to the lights of the emerging Semuan cities, hearing for themselves the call of the gods. Together they struggle and they learn, holding tenuously onto their fledgling civilization amidst the unrelenting harshness of a homeland rife with danger and uncertainty. You will take on the role of protector and guide to your people, your strength and your cunning are the tools granted you by the gods to safeguard your kin from the many perils that the Coacoi jungles impose. Will you lead your people to greater heights, or will the Night reclaim the jungles, blotting out the light of knowledge forever? +++++ Ha, forgot that my setting info was all written down in my campaign journal. Here it is, a bit of inroduction to the world of the Spirit Coil campaign. I'm super excited about the whole thing. I think I'm getting pretty close to being able to get going. :3 I'm still searching for artists, but I've got some really promising leads. There's so much talent out there!

Seeking an artist... Alrighty, I do think I am going to commission an artist to draw the racial line-up for my campaign.
Before anyone offers their services, I'd like to add that I won't be commissioning anyone I know personally. I think that business transactions between friends are particularly distasteful things. More so than business transactions in general.
I'm looking for someone with a working knowledge of anatomy. This includes the ability to draw humans/ monstrous creatures well enough that they could submit their work professionally. They need to be willing to work with me to create a finished product that adheres to the mood and setting I'm trying to establish. And, of course, they need to be open for commission.
General knowledge of the Dungeons and Dragons game would be most helpful, but not necessary.
Here is an example of what I'm looking for:

If you know of any artists whose skills would be particularly suited to the task, and who would be willing, let me know. I'll be scouting around myself, so there's no guarantee of a commission from me, but I'd like to support an artist while gathering resources for my campaign.
Price is negotiable. A reasonable deadline will be agreed to. I would like to keep the originals, as well.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Classes of the Spirit Coil campaign:
Barbarian- Barbarians are more integrated with the emerging civilizations of Coacoi than in other regions. Certainly there is a strong but primitive martial tradition amongst the Trog clans, producing warrior-hunters of peerless bravery, but even amongst the Lizardfolk, whose sentries stand vigilant watch over Naguan and all it's people, have a proud history of warriors who would rise up with unrelenting zeal in the face of danger, touching upon their feral ancestry. Elf lore tells of dark and bloody rituals cast before great conflicts that would imbue their warriors with primal strength and battle lust, turning into beasts of war. Whether those stories hold any truth, however, remains to be seen. The dense jungles of the Coacoi require strength and cunning to survive. Any people string enough to flourish there may produce heroes of the barbarian class. Bard- Coacoi is a primal place, heady with wild magic and abundant life. Music is the perfect way to tap into that seething essence. The beat of drums, ritual chants and epic tales of the heroes that first rose up from the beasts, slaying terrible monsters to protect their new civilizations; all this creates strong bardic traditions among the people of the jungles, where histories and accounts are largely passed from generation to generation orally. Via songs and music. From the war drums of the Trog, to the strange and beautiful stringed instruments the Gnomes import, to even the working chants of the Kobolds, all races of the Coacoi have produced traditions of powerful musical magic. Cleric- The temples of the Sun and Night are attended to by a large contingent of dedicated clerics, primarily the Lizardfolk who built the temples. However, as the Lizardfolk have spread the flame of knowledge to other races of the jungle, so too have those others come to worship the god-spirits of the skies. Humans and Gnomes seem more likely to revere the Sun and it's bounty, whilst the Kobolds and Elves tend to supplicate the Night, for the power and safety that darkness provides. Least likely to take up the cleric class are the Trogs, who as yet look primarily to their ancient shamanic traditions for guidance. Druid- Even as civilization takes tentative root in the jungle basin of Coacoi, nature is an ever-present reminder of it's fragility. Rains fall heavily, destroying the unprepared and horrible beasts stalk the night, preying on the weak. The world is a savage and hostile place, full of natural dangers. It is the druids who know this more than all others. Those brave, or mad souls strong enough to shun the safety of civilization and walk the hidden jungle paths may find themselves steeped in the powerful magics of the land itself, communing with the spirits for aid. Trogs are perhaps the most likely to choose the druidic path, wary of the new ways of the Sun and Night, although any dweller of the Coacoi may find the call of the wild strong within them, leaving their homes for a hard and solitary existence in the wilderness. Gnomes, with their more distant relation to the harshest wilds are the least likely to take up this mantle, having long ago left the deepest jungles for their relatively safe mountainside villages. Fighter - The jungle does not spare the weak. Danger lurks at every turn and it is the warriors of each people who must stand up to protect their kin. Each race has developed an organized martial tradition, though it is primarily the Elves and Lizardfolk that employ individuals whose primary occupation is that of a warrior, rather than the warrior-hunters of the Trogs, Humans and Gnomes. Those races favor the ranger and barbarian class for their defenders. Monk (Restricted Class)- The appearance of monks within the Coacoi jungles is a rare one indeed and they usually hail from beyond the verdant basin. For this reason, the class is open only to Gnomes, whose racial and sometimes cultural ties extend beyond the jungles to strange lands as yet unheard of by the other Coacoi peoples. There are rumors of an emerging monastic tradition among the clerics of the Sun and Night temples, but these temple guardians will be few indeed and reluctant at best towards the idea of sharing the secrets of their skills to those outside of their temple orders. Paladin (Closed Class)- The role of religious champion is otherwise filled by the cleric class. The concepts of good and evil are not so clearly defined among the harsh jungles of Coacoi. The Paladin class is unavailable unless later noted. Ranger- Families must eat, hostile beasts must be fended off and the dark jungles plied for sustenance. In the harsh environment of the Coacoi basin, rangers are often more prevalent than heroes of the warrior class. These cunning scouts and hunters venture deep into the wilds in order to protect their kin, often leaving their homes for weeks at a time. All people who call the Coacoi jungles home may choose the ranger class. The elves have the most organized ranger tradition, their warriors moving invisibly through the undergrowth like ghosts, their faces painted to resemble leering skulls. Truly a terrible sight to behold as they seem to melt out of the jungle. Rogue- Strength isn't the only way to survive the unforgiving jungles of the Coacoi basin. Cunning and deceit have proven just as useful among the dark and perilous wilds. Rogues of the Coacoi peoples are the silent stalkers of the jungle floors, using their stealth to great advantage amidst the shadows of the dense jungle. A clever trap is just as effective as a dozen strong sword arms. Kobolds, Gnomes, and even the mysterious elves often favor this class, although with the emergence of the lizardfolk cities, more and more rogues appear to take advantage of civilization's own perils. Sorcerer- Magic flows strongly throughout the Coacoi basin, especially so amongst the blood of it's people, it is said. The development of magical prowess typically occurs during adolescence and is seen, typically, as a great boon. Many heroes of the sorcerer class are looked to as tribal leaders and sages. Such magic users are most prevalent among the Elves, Humans and Gnomes, though all races have been known to produce sorcerers of astounding power. Those Kobolds gifted with sorcerous power often manifest distinct physical difference from their kin, such as oddly-colored scales, eyes or even vestigial horns. Wizard (Restricted Class)- Magic in Coacoi is a new and primal thing. It comes from the land, the god-spirits of the skies and from the blood itself. There are no high academies, no cloistered wizardly orders, no as-yet unearthed tomes from ages past to impart their secrets to the peoples of the jungle. Only those few who have come from beyond the high mountains, typically Gnomes, may take this class and they will find it particularly hard to advance without any of the knowledge resources provided by their parent civilization. Elf legends tell of powerful magic users who once lived among their people, but they shut themselves away from the natural world and grew weak while delving into strange and unnatural magics. It isn't clear what became of these hermits, but the elves of Coacoi regard the orderly magic of wizards to be harmful to the natural order and react poorly to it's usage. Many Trog clans hold a similar stance.
+++++ Aight. Making more progress. I might be commissioning artists to draw some stuff for me, I haven't decided yet. I'd like to at least have some high-quality pics of the racial line-up. My skills aren't quite at the level I'd like yet.

Base races of the Spirit Coil campaign: Lizardfolk- Lizardfolk are the dominate race of the Coacoi jungles. They are the builders of cities, the star watchers who carved an empire from the harsh and untamed wilds. It is they who erected the temples of the Sun and Night, and who have stood watch for hundreds of years while the Spirit Naga ward the land against incursion by malignant spirits. The god-spirits granted the lizardfolk the flame of knowledge and bade them rise up from the beasts to spread that flame wherever they tread. Lizardfolk resemble nothing so much as humanoid reptiles, standing erect on powerful digigrade legs ending in vicious claws. Their bodies are strongly built and covered in thick scales that grant them a modicum of protection against physical blows. Scale color ranges from deep green to sandy tan, depending on the individual's tribal heritage. A membranous crest adorns the skulls of both males and females, tapering down their necks. Crest color is typically vibrant red, yellow, or even turquoise. Most lizardfolk shun clothing, opting only for decorative jewelry of metal and stone, along with identifying scale paint, indicating family, occupation and accomplishment. Human- Commonly referred to as the Anunti, or Mud People, humanity is a new and curious presence among the Coacoi jungles. Only a generation or two ago, a small tribe of humans was found wandering down the coast, seemingly lost and in search of a safe place to settle, the wild jungles full of strange and hungry beasts that had slowly taken their toll on the tribe's numbers. Five families remained, and those were brought into Naguan by the lizardfolk. They are a very small portion of Naguan's population, but have already proven their skill at fishing and weaving. Their cloth wares are becoming prized among the other races for their durability and fashion. The humans who have made their home in Naguan are bronze-skinned and lithely built. Hair is typically very dark brown or raven black with dark brown eyes. Steel gray eyes are a rare occurrence and are traditionally taken as an omen of strong spiritual power. Typical dress consists of loose, brightly colored wraps and sarongs, optimal for living in the humid jungles. Although they have no taboos against nudity, the clothes are typically worn to protect against the sun and many, many insects that have found human hides are much easier to penetrate than reptile skins. It is traditional amongst the humans to leave tributes to the spirits of the ocean and rivers, ensuring a good catch. Elf- The elves of the Coacoi jungles are a dark and mysterious race, purportedly blessed by the Night itself. Their magics are strong and deadly, commonly incorporating the use of blood. It is they who come to the Night temple and give up sacrifices to the many-eyed gods of the Night. Although they may appear cold or aloof at first, the elves are also known for their unflagging loyalty to their friends and comrades, often holding great feasts in honor of the gods and those who have accomplished great feats to bring honor to their people and kin. Elves stand slightly taller than you're average human and appear even more lithe and graceful. Their skins are a very deep brown, verging on black. Their eyes are typically gold and cat-like, suited to traversing the jungles at night and lending them keen sight. Typical garb includes functional cloth wraps, designed to offer freedom of movement at all times. It is long-standing tradition for elves to decorate their skins with white chalk found in the jungles. The patterns and designs indicate family and accomplishment, much in the same way lizardfolk paint their scales. Troglodyte- The kin of the lizardfolk people, Troglodytes inhabit the jungles around Naguan but seldom settle within the city itself, more comfortable in the wilds. They are the hunters, coming into the city to trade for the furs, meat and other goods they hunt and craft outside of the orderly confines of Naguan. Troglodytes have a wary mistrust of magic beyond their own shamanic beliefs, resulting in sporadic conflict with the elves who's lands sometimes overlap their own and whose magic they view as perverse. Troglodytes greatly resemble their lizardfolk cousins, although much more compactly built, rather than heavily muscled. Their scales range in color from washed out green to mottled brown, the scales themselves heavier than those of their city-dwelling kin. Troglodytes favor furs and feathers from beasts they have hunted in the jungles, lending them a feral appearance. Gnome- Descended from the peoples who once lived in villages situated on the high mountains that rise up from the Coacoi jungles, the gnomes of Naguan first arrived many generations ago to trade and seek mutual protection from the many dangers of the jungle. Many gnome families have settled within the city of Naguan itself, bringing with them their unique knowledge of paper-making and propensity for artful metalworking. Gnomes are perhaps the most varied of the races present in Naguan, their skin ranging from deep brown to pale white and stand about half as tall as the average humn. Gnome travelers from lands beyond sometimes traverse the mountains that encircle the Coacoi jungle and, via the mountainside Gnome villages, find their way to Naguan, bringing with them strange tales and artifacts. Although these outsiders are rare, their numbers are slowly increasing. Gnomes whose families are native to the jungles are typically tawny-skinned with hair ranging from black to fiery red. Native gnome dress favors vividly dyed robes and wraps, featuring repeating geometric patterns. Kobold-
When the lizardfolk tore great swaths of rock from the earth to build their cities and temples, they found the kobolds living beneath the surface world, largely unaware of the land above and fearful of the open sky. Generations later, the kobold people have ventured out of their tunnels and caverns to carve a place for themselves among the dwellers of Naguan. Their knowledge of the earth has made them sought after in the building of new stone structures and subterranean construction. They are tireless and single-minded workers who are loath to rest until their meticulous work is complete. The diminutive kobold people resemble a dwarfed offshoot of the lizardfolk, standing about half as tall as your average human. Their scales are a deep red, with vivid white underbellies and pupil-less white or yellow eyes that appear to glow in complete darkness. Kobolds favor leather harnesses useful for holding a myriad of tools at hand at all times along with decorative jewelry featuring red and green jade, which they believe to hold magical properties. Rare is the kobold who is seen outside the company of another of it's kind, as they tend to be extremely social, if more comfortable in the presence of their own kind. +++++

[Link] | Awright! So today's religious fun-ness comes in the form of psychotic taxi driver man!
For about ten minutes there, I had to seriously consider whether he was going to attack me.
"It's all about getting one over on everyone else? (in reference to a past customer who probably said something about evolution ) Well, today I'm the predator then. Fine!", He adjusts his thick, black-rimmed glasses. "Today I'm the predator. You need faith. You had faith when you stepped in the car assuming I wasn't going to take you down a dirt road and..and ...murder you. Maybe the real driver's body is in the trunk...."
He dropped me off with a final quote, something about finding answers. I was too busy walking hurriedly towards my lockable door.
I swear even the light in the cab was tinged slightly red from all the digital fare readouts, casting the whole thing in an earie glow that seemed plucked out of some gorey horror movie.

Wow, thanks! "Rally, God loves you so very much! You are his prized possession. Jesus is the way to peace + happiness + he can be trusted! God bless you! -Amy"
Gee, thanks Amy! For those of you that don't get these on a regular basis, it's probably because you look normal. I, however, am a big freak, so I get these at work and at bus stations and other public spaces.
Getting these cards is one of the reasons that I have never let go of my very deep seated grudge against the christian religion. It's the one hatred that I have yet to divest myself of.
You may be thinking to yourself. "That's a pretty negative response to such a nice card." If this is the case, then let me share with you how it feels from my perspective.
NOONE gets these cards around me, but me. Kinda funny, huh? Wonder why? Because I'm in that very uncomfortable early stage of my transition where I just look damn wierd. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that I'm not your average woman, y'know? SO! When your friendly neighborhood evangelist comes by and decides that I need to be reminded that God loves me, I wonder why I'm the only one who needs to know, apparently. It's hurtful in the extreme. If I weren't an atheist, I'd hate god an awful lot, because he's not a big fan of queers like me, evidently.
This, among many other reasons, is why I don't understand why any self-respecting queer person would ever remain christian. You can't miince the fact that the bible regards homosexuality (among other things) as a sin. It's written there pretty plainly, along with a bunch of other nonsensical crap. No amount of religious moderation is going to change that. Then there are those who say that it wasn't god's word, but the word of misguided men who say that such is a sinful thing. Well, yah. The whole bible can be summed up as the words of misguided men. But my point in saying thus is;
So you get to pick and choose the pretty parts of your religion that you wish to choose to believe in? Wow, that sounds really nice. You get to live in denial of the fact that you are supporting a religion that actively puts you down as a sinner, because you are queer. How many queers around the world are murdered each year because members of your religion decided to take things a little more literally? How many of you are in the closet, afraid to come out to your families? Why? Because they'de hate you? Why? Because of their beliefs, mayhap? Enjoy that sunday brunch with tha fam'. Someone on the other side of the globe is getting beaten to death for loving someone they shouldn't.
Christianity has been there to attack me at every step in my life. I have zero reason to trust it or respect it at all. Think about all that painful denial you live with. Heaven forbid they know the real you, huh?
I refuse to live a life of timid lies. I refuse to hate myself for the way I am.

[Link] | The weather has been exceedingly pleasant of late. It is a simple thing, but it does a lot to make my day better.
Work was a lttle taxing today, and stepping out into the crisp, clean air just totally makes it all go away.
...and I just talked to my parents for the first time in over three months. I miss them. My little brother and sister are growing up and I'm not around to see it. My sister is going into UC Davic on a Navy Scholarship (*grumble*), to be a Neurobiologist! Geez!
My uncle, who was pretty much my idol throughout childhood just got out of the Air Force and moved to Oceanside with the rest of my family. He's Taking courses to be certified in civilian aircraft maintenance. I miss him alot.
Sometimes I worry that the reason I'll be visiting California for the first time again will be to attend a funeral. Blah.
I miss Noah, Marcus, John, Adam, Britt, Taka, Alistair, Kevin, Dustin, Jessica, Paul, Julian (deceased), Drew, Micheal, Pat, Clip/Jeff and all the other friends I left back on the coast. I remember Oceanside, every neighborhood and it's houses like a permanent map in my head. I could get anywhere on my bike or the bus. I have memories of nearly every store and street and hidden place in that city.
Under the tracks that crossed over the river where it let out to the ocean, right by the harbor where I worked a couple summers as a galley cook aboard the 'cattle boats', amidst the old wrappers and muddy matresses and hobo detritus, where we scrawled words in spraypaint and failed to ever be really good at skateboarding. Oi.
Behind the music building, hiding in the bushes and smoking during practice. Talking about silly crap and not worrying about our futures at all. Sneaking off to smoke pot once in the suburbs above the high school. Running from the police that showed up and scared us. Thinking we were damn cool because we got away. Spending lunch break in our english classroom, having created a fake satanic/current events club that got our teacher out of having to coach a team or mentor a real club. Half the staff thought we were all evil hackers or something who used the classroom computer to infect the school network.. We installed Kazaa and watched crappy movies. We used the library computers to get into teacher accounts. I miss Windows 2000 sometimes.
Ok, I'm done with the nostalgia for now.
It's two in the morning and the people upstairs are clapping along to the same stupid song they listen to EVERY time they turn on their sterio. Looks like at least one person is enjoying 4/20 to the fullest.
I'm out.

No More Dungeons and Dragons magazines?! Yep, sadly, it's detailed here. Wizards of the Coast decided not to renew Piazo's liscence to print the magazines.
I've been reading the magazines since I got into DnD back in high school. Up till now, it's been something I've been able to look forward to every month. The art, the monsters, the fantastic locals and adventures. But no more. It's really kind of saddening.
Those magazines provided jobs for some excellent fantasy artists and writers. Piazo put out a wonderful periodical and I'll miss it quite a bit. I wish the best of luck to the folks over at Piazo and will give them my continued support by subscribing to their Pathfinder magazine, which really does look quite interesting. I will also be requesting that borders begin carrying the Pathfinder magazine on it's shelves, in order to support other tabletop RPG fans localy, as well as Piazo.
Wizards has mentioned moving towards a new, online format for the content Piazo once provided. I hope they continue the tradition of quality that made Piazo's magazines so fun to read, and I hope they employ the talants of the creative staff who will be displaced by the ending of Piazo's liscense.

New Toys and a Drawing Oh yeah! A couple weeks back, the stereo at our appartment totally died, so I finally went out and bought a new CD palyer!
I don't usually go for portable electronics (I hope never to own a cell phone, and iPODs are just too expensive for me), but this CD player can play WMAs and MP3s! It's neat! And though I am wary of it's touch screen, which seems like it would be the first thing to get broken, it's pretty snazzy compared to anything I've yet owned. I got a pair of high quality headphones to go with it. It's so neat!
CDs I got to go with it: Deus- Pocket Revolution (Groovy stuff, yar.) Grandaddy- Artist's Choices (A collection of Grandaddy's favorite songs that never made it to radio) Cradle of Filth- Midian (To replace my well-worn and scratched up CD)
Also, a full-body reference for Pesha! (Under the cut due to non-sexual nudity)
...Alrighty, that's about it for now. Hoping to do some more drawing tomorrow, since I'll have the time. I need to find an outside spot to sit and draw without fear of spiders crawling onto me. X_x

DnD! Our charactors managed to escape the gladatorial combat arena they were kidnapped and sold to. Serisemya managed to win all but the fight against a young adult blue dragon! (The dragon merely whooped our butts though, and put on a showey fight rather than trying to actually kill us, very luckily for us.)
Upon return I bought a fifth of the "poor district" and re-developed it with better homes, giving them away to the Naga population free of charge. It took 10,000gp, but I was able to build a more healthy atmosphere for the children of my god and next time, I'll either be helping to cultivate unused and farmable land outside the city, or be bringing in teachers and skilled tradesmen to educate the population. :3

Yet another sketch post! Yes indeed. I've been drawing a lot of my D&D character, Serisemya, lately. Perhaps the longest running character I've had with Bobbie's campaign. This is saying something. Bobbie is a harsh DM and is not above killing foolish adventurers. We love her for it though.
So! Today me and Rich went over to Bobbi's for a little bit of a side mission together. It was really fun. Serisemya has been hoarding all the gold she gets from quests, not really knowing what to do with city dwellers' silly coin...until now.
Serisemya now owns a whole building in the merchant quarter, where the population of Naga is centered. Using her actually quite ample wealth (she was found to have had several chests full of coin totaling over ten thousand gold) she converted the building into a temple to Semuanya, the diety of all scaley-kind. From her new home Serisemya can attend to the needs of the reptilian community in Jenerika, the temple serving as a place to congregate and organize, a hospital/nursery specializing in the needs of the reptilian community, and a sanctuary for all of Semuanya's children. She's currently in talks with contractors to install an adjacent bath house for those semi-aquatic races that fall under her patron's domain.
Also, I gained a rake attack with my hind claws that should make me more formidable in close-combat. Serisemya prefers to fight with her natural weapons (seeing them as the tools bestowed upon her by her god), so that should be a big help.

Our gaming group took on an army of marshmellow Peeps and Bunnies! It was silly and fun and there was much eating of sugary confections. Rez's character destroyed the whole Edible Plane by wishing to be the most skillful rogue in all the land. Doh! Afterwards we went back to my place and watched Pick of Destiny, which will never cease to make me laugh. X3
I went and bought the WoW Roleplaying Game yesterday. It looks neat, especially if you like the setting of Warcraft but hunger for some actual character developement and personality.
Rez! I may have found a third person for our Online gaming thing. He's an experienced RPGer. Found him on SL and he's not a slavering pig. :D Relatedly, I might be thinking up a Shadowrun campaign. I dunno. I mostly wanna stick to what I know. Myth! Stop going to school and work so you can play wif us! :3
Last night I had a dream! It was full of geekery too. We were down in the Bevo Mill area (an area of once-German heritage, with closely-huddled shops and a huge windmill.) except it was distinctly more....fantastical, any hints of modernity gone as I laugh and talk with Rich and a couple friends, walking through the cobblestone streets at night, gas lamps casting warm light. We walk into a shop that is still open, even this late and it opens up into a sparsely lit secondhand goods store.....apparently staffed by the members of Cradle of Filth (a black metal band). In the corner I find a case of used books and end up with a large stack of neat RP books. Dani Filth grumbles at having to take care of customers so late at night but he checks us out and we go back out onto the street. :3
Thats all for now. Just hanging out and trying to keep sane. :)

More Writing Yep, more writing. I've been exploring the mil-mods a bit more, along with the gene-scripting process as a whole.
After humanity inadvertantly created the machine-minds, they turned towards another avenue of technology, weary of repeating their costly mistake. They delved deeper than ever into their own genetic make up. The advances in what would later become known as 'gene-scripting' allowed humanity to further push back it's physical and mental boundries with enhancements that would even breed true, creating a humanity as varied and alien as the monsters it once dreamed it would find living amongst the stars.
As always, I hope you enjoyed it. I just installed OpenOffice, and the formating went all wonky when I pasted it here, but I think I got the kinks out, for the most part. I'm going to look at how authors format conversations, because I don't think I've been doing it well. *shrugs*
Oh well. Thats all for now. Much love.
